"I was having problems with securing my insurance and Shawn and Deb kept on it until my whole family was approved. They never let anything slip."

"I would recommend Zenker Insurance in a heartbeat. Looking for affordable health care coverage for your kids can be overwhelming to say the least. Trying to make sense of the various packages, deductibles, hospital and pharmacy rates can be very frustrating if you are not familiar with the insurance jargon/terminology, etc. Zenker Insurance, namely Debbie, has been extremely helpful in describing the various services of the health options they offer."

"I want to express, that it was truly a pleasure to speak with you. I will keep your contact information and provide it to others that I come across that my need your assistance. I truly value the time that you spent doing your research on my behalf."

"I was looking for an insurance agent to get a health insurance few months ago. I didn't want to just go to a website and choose something on my own. After searching for an agent finally I found Debbie and asked her to tell me about my options . She was very professional and explained all different plans and their difference in what they offer and how much they will cost me. She sent me some quotes and later followed up with me to see if I have any questions. I was very happy with the service and the amount of the time she always spent to explain everything and answer all my questions. I did recommend her to my friend and we both applied for a ppo health insurance through her. I will definitely recommend her for any insurance services. She is great in what she is doing and hope we could have more agents like her in this business."

HMO
HMO (Health Maintenance Organization)
An HMO is a collection of physicians, hospitals, and other medical services all using one network. HMOs keep try costs down while providing comprehensive medical services. You members pay only small co-pays when using their services, no matter how many or what kind of services you use. In return, though, you must usually use the same hospital(s), doctors, and other medical providers in the HMO's network. In an HMO, you select one primary care physician. If you need to see a specialist, your primary care doctor must first refer you to that particular specialist before you can see them.
PPOs
PPO (Preferred Provider Organization)
In a PPO, insurance companies contract with doctors, hospitals, and other providers to form a "network."
You can sometimes get health care outside the network (someone or someplace not included in the network) but you will have to pay more. Unlike an HMO, you also have to pay a deductible and coinsurance.
You usually can see a specialist without first being referred by your primary care physician, and you have much more freedom in choosing a doctor or hospital. PPOs in California are regulated by both California Department of Insurance (CDI) and Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC).
Choosing Your Doctor
If you like your doctor and he or she is not a member of the HMO network, you will probably want to choose a PPO so you can continue seeing him or her.
